OVERVIEW

The BSc Nursing (Advanced Entry) programme is designed for qualified nursing professionals who have successfully completed a three-year Diploma in Nursing at NVQ Level 6 and wish to progress to a recognised bachelor’s degree.

Through the Advanced Entry and Credit Transfer pathway, eligible students can complete the programme over four semesters, with a fast-track route that may allow completion within one year, subject to approved credit exemptions and academic requirements.

The programme is delivered fully online through live Zoom lectures, making it well-suited to working nurses and healthcare professionals. Lecture recordings support flexible learning, revision, and continued professional development.

The degree is awarded by Nile University of Science and Technology, a UGC-recognised foreign university.

Programme Learning Outcomes (SLQF Level 6)

Upon successful completion of the BSc in Nursing (Advanced Entry), graduates will be able to:

  • Advanced Nursing Knowledge and Clinical Decision-Making : Demonstrate advanced and integrated knowledge of nursing and healthcare sciences, including medical-surgical nursing, mental health, paediatric, geriatric, maternal, newborn and family healthcare, and critically analyse patient information to make evidence-informed nursing decisions and propose appropriate solutions to complex healthcare needs.
  • Professional Nursing Practice and Patient-Centred Care: Apply advanced nursing knowledge, clinical reasoning and professional judgement to deliver safe, ethical, holistic and patient-centred care across the lifespan, while integrating principles of medication safety, nutrition, disease prevention, health promotion and multidisciplinary healthcare practice.
  • Leadership, Communication and Professional Responsibility: Demonstrate effective leadership, teamwork, communication, teaching and management competencies within healthcare environments, exercising professional accountability, ethical responsibility and sound decision-making while responding effectively to changing healthcare and organisational needs.
  • Research, Evidence-Based Practice and Lifelong Learning: Critically evaluate scientific and professional evidence, apply appropriate research methodologies, analyse and interpret healthcare information, and undertake an independent research project to support evidence-based nursing practice, continuous professional development and lifelong learning.

Fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable, in accordance with institutional financial policies and regulations.
