OVERVIEW

The Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) at Eurasian Campus is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in essential computing and digital technologies. The program develops practical skills in areas such as computer systems, networking, web technologies, and basic software applications, preparing students for the modern digital workplace.

This qualification is aligned with the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF) Level 3 and carries 30 academic credits, offering a recognized pathway for entry-level employment in the IT industry or progression to higher-level qualifications in Information Technology and related fields.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Understand computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts
  • Become proficient in using word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and potentially other relevant software.
  • Learn the basics of programming, possibly focusing on a language like Python or Java.
  • Get introduced to creating basic websites, potentially including HTML, CSS, and an introduction to web development

Academic Pathway

Students who successfully complete the Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) may progress to advanced entry into the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) degree at Eurasian Campus, enabling them to continue their studies in the field of Information Technology.

Modules are subject to change in line with academic and industry requirements.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy any one of the following requirements

  • GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination passed in any stream.
  • NVQ Level 4 or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Eurasian Campus Foundation Diploma, or a recognised Foundation Diploma or Diploma from a recognised institution in any discipline.
  • GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) examination with a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a recognised organisation. Applicants who are business owners or self-employed with at least three (3) years of professional experience are also eligible.

INVESTMENT

Programme Fee Structure

Eurasian Campus is committed to making quality higher education accessible and affordable. Students may choose one of the following convenient payment options.

Option 1 – Flexible Instalment Plan

This option allows students to spread the programme fee across instalments.

  • Registration Fee: LKR 3,000 (one-time payment)
  • Course Fee: LKR 20,000 (LKR 5,000 × 4 instalments)

Total Programme Fee: LKR 23,000

Additional Student Benefits

  • Examination and Evaluation Fees: Completely free for the first examination attempt
  • Examination Certificates and Official Academic Documents issued by Eurasian Campus: Provided free of charge

 

Option 2 – Pay in Full (Special Discount)

Students who prefer to complete the payment at once may benefit from a significant fee reduction.

Total Programme Fee: LKR 13,000

✔ Save LKR 10,000 compared to the standard instalment plan.

 

Note: This programme is designed to provide maximum academic value at a highly affordable investment, supporting students from diverse educational and professional backgrounds.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the programme, Eurasian Campus will issue the Diploma Certificate and Official Transcript. These qualifications are aligned with the Sri Lankan Qualifications Framework (SLQF) and are widely accepted by employers and academic institutions in both the public and private sectors in Sri Lanka.

Students who wish to obtain the certificate and transcript directly from Nile University of Science and Technology (a UGC-recognised university) may do so by making an additional USD 50 processing fee to Eurasian Campus when notified.
