Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

Applicants seeking admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme offered by the Faculty of Management Studies, Eurasian Campus, must satisfy one of the following entry criteria:

  • A recognised Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from an accredited higher education institution; or
  • A Higher Diploma in a relevant field, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in the public or private sector; or
  • Entrepreneurs and business owners holding a Higher Diploma, supported by a valid Business Registration (BR), may be considered under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / experiential learning pathway to demonstrate professional competence and industry engagement; or
  • Finance professionals currently employed in the banking or finance sector, holding a Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance (IBSL) or a Diploma in Credit Management, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.

Final admission is subject to the approval of the Academic Board and the Senate of the University, in accordance with the regulations of the Sri Lankan higher education system.

Applicants who have successfully completed a relevant Postgraduate Diploma in Management, Finance, Marketing, or Human Resource Management may apply for direct entry into the Research Stage of the MBA programme.

However, in accordance with Nile University academic standards, all candidates are required to complete the mandatory core units, irrespective of their prior academic qualifications, to ensure academic coherence and programme integrity.

INVESTMENT

Fee Structure – Dual Qualification Pathway (PGDBA + MBA Research Stage)

The total programme fee for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) is LKR 380,000, payable according to the following structured instalment plan:

  • Registration Fee: LKR 5,000
  • First Instalment: LKR 25,000
  • Monthly Instalments: LKR 35,000 × 10
  • Total Programme Fee: LKR 380,000

Fees Structure – Research Entry Pathway

Students who wish to join directly at the Research Stage of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme may select either the instalment plan or the full payment option, as outlined below.

Note

All registered students will receive International Student Registration, including an official Student ID Card and Student Registration Letter, issued through Nile University of Science and Technology, which is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). These documents will be issued within one month of successful registration.

Students may initially register for the programme by paying Rs. 5,000 and attend lectures for one month to assess the quality of the course. During this period, the Nile University registration fee of Rs. 25,000 must be paid. Upon completion of payment, international student registration will be issued within one month.

Fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable, in accordance with institutional financial policies and regulations.
