OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Human Resource Management (BHRM) – Special Degree (4 Years) offered by Eurasian Campus, Sri Lanka, in academic collaboration with the Nile University of Science and Technology, is a high-calibre honours degree designed to develop future-ready HR professionals and organisational leaders for the modern global business environment. Awarded by a foreign university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), this programme ensures strong academic credibility, international recognition, and alignment with global human resource management standards.
In today’s highly competitive and people-driven business landscape, organisations increasingly depend on skilled HR professionals to drive performance, manage talent, and build sustainable organisational cultures. Succeeding in such an environment without a formal, professionally recognised HR qualification is becoming increasingly challenging. This BHRM degree provides a strong foundation in core business disciplines while offering specialised expertise in human resource management, industrial and organisational psychology, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and leadership development.
While maintaining a comprehensive understanding of broader business functions such as marketing, finance, operations, and strategic management, the programme places a strong emphasis on managing people effectively within organisations. Students develop critical thinking, interpersonal, and decision-making skills required to align human capital with organisational goals. As a four-year special degree aligned with SLQF Level 6 standards, it also serves as a powerful stepping stone towards postgraduate studies (MBA or MHRM) and long-term professional success in both Sri Lanka and the global corporate sector.
Programme Learning Outcomes (SLQF Level 6)
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core human resource management principles, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, industrial and organisational psychology, and strategic HRM within local and global business contexts.
- Apply specialised HR and managerial skills to design, implement, and evaluate effective human resource strategies, policies, and practices using appropriate tools, techniques, and industry best practices to address complex organisational and workforce challenges.
- Critically analyse and evaluate organisational behaviour, workplace dynamics, and business environments, adapting HR strategies to meet changing organisational needs while considering ethical, legal, and sustainability factors.
- Undertake research-informed and people-centric practice by applying fundamental research methodologies, problem-solving approaches, and continuous learning strategies to enhance employee performance, support organisational growth, and advance professional development in the field of human resource management.
