OVERVIEW

The programme develops a strong foundation in educational theory while emphasising practical, evidence-informed approaches to lesson design, classroom management, learner support, and assessment for learning.

The PGDE engages students with modern curriculum thinking, inclusive education, professional ethics, and reflective practice. It equips educators to respond to diverse learner needs, integrate appropriate educational technologies, and apply sound assessment strategies that support measurable learning outcomes. Learners are also introduced to research-informed practice, enabling them to interpret educational evidence, evaluate interventions, and contribute to continuous improvement within schools and wider education systems.
